Apple Cider Donuts
These delicious, cakey Apple Cider Donuts are the perfect fall dessert, made with fresh apple cider, apple pie spice, and coated with cinnamon sugar.
Ingredients
- 2 cups2 cups2 cups Apple Cider, reduced to 3/4 cup
- 138 gram138 gram138 gram Cassava Flour

- 116 gram116 gram116 gram Almond Flour

- 62 gram62 gram62 gram Tapioca Starch

- 1 Tbsp1 Tbsp1 Tbsp Apple Pie Spice

- 76 gram76 gram76 gram Maple Sugar

- 1/2 tsp1/2 tsp1/2 tsp Himalayan Pink Salt

- 1 tsp1 tsp1 tsp Baking Soda
- 1/2 cup1/2 cup1/2 cup Avocado Oil
- 444 Eggs
- 1 tsp1 tsp1 tsp Pure Vanilla Extract

- 1 Tbsp1 Tbsp1 Tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar
- 1/2 cup1/2 cup1/2 cup Butter, Unsalted, melted (or ghee)

- 1 cup1 cup1 cup Granulated White Sugar

- 1 Tbsp1 Tbsp1 Tbsp Cinnamon Sugar Cookie Blend - Primal Palate

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
- Heat the apple cider over medium heat in a saucepan until is reduces to 3/4 of a cup. Set aside and allow to cool.
- Preheat oven to 350.
- In a medium sized mixing bowl, combine the dry ingredients (cassava flour, almond flour, tapioca starch, apple pie spice, maple sugar, salt, and baking soda)
- In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, avocado oil, vanilla, apple cider vinegar, and reduced apple cider.
- Stir the wet ingredients into the dry until you have a smooth batter.
- Spray or brush your donut pan with avocado oil.
- Spoon the batter into the donut pan.
- Bake for 12 minutes.
- Allow to cool for 5 minutes, then remove the donuts from the pan and repeat until all the batter has been used.
- In a wide bowl, stir together the sugar and Cinnamon Sugar Cookie blend.
- Brush the donuts on all sides with the melted butter, then coat with the cinnamon sugar mixture.
