Dairy Free Onion Dip
Growing up, we would make an onion dip with a French onion seasoning packet and sour cream. We always had that dip on holidays, parties, and get-togethers. I wanted to create a similar dip that didn’t require a lot of ingredients and also didn’t use a seasoning packet. This dip brings back all those childhood memories and tastes even better than what we used to make. It takes a few minutes to caramelize the onions, but it’s definitely worth the effort.

- Add 3 teaspoon of coconut aminos to the onions and stir everything together. Remove the pan from the heat to let the onions cool.
- In a medium bowl, whisk the sour cream, mayonnaise, pepper, and 1 teaspoon of coconut aminos until the mixture is smooth.
- When the onions are cool, add them to the sour cream mixture and whisk to combine everything thoroughly.
- Cover the bowl and place it in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours to set up. Serve with sliced veggies and/or chips.
