Easy Sweet and Sticky Saucy Wings (no added sugar!)
When wing night is on the menu, you can bet we’re making this easy, 4-ingredient sauce! The key to getting that perfect sweet and sticky texture and flavor is coconut aminos. Thanks to its mild flavor and lower sodium content, it gives the sauce incredible depth with just a couple of extra spices. Simply simmer it on the stove until it coats the back of a spoon, and it’s ready to pour over your wings!

- Preheat your oven to bake at 425 degrees F. Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper, and place your wings on the baking sheet. We prefer to cut the wings into flats and drumettes as they cook better that way.
- Place the wings in the oven, and bake until the skin is ultra crispy. This will take about 45 minutes.
- When the wings have about 10 minutes left to cook, you can make the sauce.
- Heat a stainless steel skillet over medium heat. Pour the coconut aminos into the skillet.
- Sprinkle the ground ginger, ground onion, and ground garlic into the coconut aminos, and stir to combine.
- Cook the sauce on medium-low heat while stirring frequently until it thickens enough to coat the back of a spoon. This will take approximately 5 minutes. You want to keep an eye on it, because it can reduce too much and burn.
- When the wings come out of the oven, transfer them to a large bowl.
- Pour the sweet and sticky sauce over the wings, and toss them to coat.
- You can garnish them with thinly sliced scallions, chili crisp, and sesame seeds if desired, but they are fantastic on their own!
