pork chops + bone broth mushroom gravy (Edit recipe)

to think there was a time in my life I didn't like mushrooms. now they are a staple ingredient. this bone broth mushroom gravy is not only delicious, but bare bone's instant bone broth boosts the protein content & adds delicious flavor! you could easily swap the pork chops for chicken breast or another meat of your liking.

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
  1. in a skillet, melt bacon grease (or oil of choice), then add mushrooms & onions; saute 10-12 minutes.
  2. in a small bowl combine arrowroot starch with 1 T water & mix well.
  3. to bowl, add in instant bone broth & water, balsamic vinegar, coconut aminos, miso, lakanto, & seasonings of choice.
  4. pour liquid mixture into mushrooms & onions.
  5. bring to a boil, then simmer to allow to thicken - add in more broth as needed.
  6. while gravy is coming together, pat pork chops dry & season with salt & pepper.
  7. in a separate skillet, cook pork chops for a couple minutes on each side or until reaches internal temperature of 145.
  8. cook up cauliflower rice & brussels sprouts or veggies of choice.
  9. to build bowl, add veggies first, then pork chops, mushroom gravy, & top with freshly grated parmesan.
