Mushroom Swiss Sloppy Joes
These Mushroom Swiss Sloppy Joes have all the classic flavor we know and love from a sloppy and then paired with those juicy shrooms and the melty swiss cheese - it was the bomb dot com! This was also super easy to make for a busy weekday AND it was a one-pot! This was a cool new way to use ground beef, and it was everything you never expected from a sloppy joe!
Ingredients

- 111 Yellow Onion, diced
- 111 Green Bell Pepper, diced
- 8 oz8 oz8 oz White Mushrooms, sliced
- 888 Swiss Cheese, slices
- 333 Garlic, cloves, minced

- .333 cup.333 cup.333 cup Ketchup
- butterbutter

- 2 Tbsp2 Tbsp2 Tbsp Beef Broth

- 1 Tbsp1 Tbsp1 Tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 tsp1 tsp1 tsp Yellow Mustard

- 1 tsp1 tsp1 tsp Salt

- 1 tsp1 tsp1 tsp Brown Sugar
- .5 tsp.5 tsp.5 tsp Black Pepper

- oreganooregano

- .5 tsp.5 tsp.5 tsp Chili Powder
- .5 tsp.5 tsp.5 tsp Paprika

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
- In a large deep skillet, brown ground beef on medium heat until no longer pink, 5-7 minutes. Drain beef and move to a plate covered with foil until ready to use.
- In the same skillet, melt butter on medium heat. Add onion, green pepper, and mushrooms and stir to combine. Cook 3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add garlic, cook for 1 minute, until fragrant.
- Add the ground beef back into the skillet along with all other ingredients besides the buns and cheese.
- Stir until everything is thoroughly mixed and on medium heat, bring mixture to a simmer. Simmer for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Evenly distribute the swiss cheese on the top of the mixture, turn heat to low, cover, and cook 2 minutes more.
- Serve Mushroom Swiss Sloppy Joes on hamburger buns of your choice and enjoy!
