Hot Cocoa Brownies
Incredibly rich and fudgey gluten free brownies, with a homemade hot cocoa frosting and homemade marshmallow fluff to top!
I used a gluten free boxed brownie mix here, but you can keep these completely refined sugar free by using my sweet potato brownie recipe here!
Ingredients
- 1 whole1 whole1 whole Brownie Mix, I used king Arthur's gluten free. Check out my sweet potato brownie recipe linked above for homemade
- 2 whole2 whole2 whole Eggs, Per box instructions
- 0.5 cup0.5 cup0.5 cup Butter, Unsalted, Per box instructions

- 2 Tbsp2 Tbsp2 Tbsp Water, Per box instructions
- 0.75 cup0.75 cup0.75 cup Heavy Whipping Cream
- .25 cup.25 cup.25 cup Powdered Monkfruit Sweetener - Lakanto

- 2 Tbsp2 Tbsp2 Tbsp Hot Cocoa Mix (Dark Chocolate) - Swiss Miss
- 1 Tbsp1 Tbsp1 Tbsp Cocoa Powder

- 1 Tbsp1 Tbsp1 Tbsp Arrowroot Flour
- 0.5 cup0.5 cup0.5 cup Homemade Marshmallow Fluff (click for recipe)

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
- Prepare your brownies per box instructions-
- Whisk melted butter, eggs, and water, then stir in mix
- Pour into sprayed 8x8 pan and bake at 350 for 35-40 minutes
- Allow to cool completely
- Make frosting by adding everything to a chilled mixing bowl, and use your hand or stand mixer to whip together until thick and fluffy, about 5 minutes
- Spread overtop your brownies
- Dollop marshmallow fluff overtop and use a cake pop stick to swirl throughout (alternatively, you can top with mini marshmallows)
- Refrigerate 30 min for smoother cutting with the frosting
- Enjoy!
