When I failed at my Christmas cake this year, I whipped up some brownies and frosted them with the most amazing mascarpone whipped cream, which will be coming soon! It turned out to be a hit and my family loves these. They are really easy to make, and serving them in bite sized pieces takes a little extra effort but elevates them to a new level! I make all my baked goods with King Arthur Gluten free flour blend, but I am sure other blends will work for these.

Process

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees and prepare you baking pan (I used an 8x8 inch glass baking dish)
  2. Boil the butter, sugar, and milk over medium heat until sugar is dissolved
  3. Remove from heat and add the milk chocolate, mix until fully melted
  4. Add in the eggs and vanilla and stir (if the mixture is grainy, that’s ok! Just keep going)
  5. Whisk the remaining dry ingredients, and add to the chocolate mixture
  6. Fold in the remaining chocolate
  7. Pour in prepared pan and bake for at least 25 minutes, add on time if you like a more well done brownie
  8. Top with whipped cream, buttercream, or powdered sugar (my mascarpone whip frosting is coming soon!)
