Process

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
  1. In a medium bowl mix the ground beef, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, 1 teaspoon salt, and pepper.
  2. Once the beef is mixed thoroughly, divide it into 4 portions and form 1/4-inch-thick patties.
  3. Add the avocado oil to a large skillet on medium heat. Once the pan is hot, cook the patties for about 5-7 minutes per side.
  4. Remove the patties from the pan once they are cooked through and set them aside.
  5. Add the onions, garlic, and mushrooms to the pan and cook until they are tender about 5-7 minutes. Be sure to stir occasionally to prevent them from burning.
  6. Sprinkle the flour in the pan and stir to coat the vegetables. Whisk in the beef broth.
  7. Add the thyme, coconut aminos, and 1/2 tsp sea salt. Let the sauce simmer for about 5 minutes, whisking frequently.
  8. Add the patties back in and continue simmering until the beef is warm.
  9. Serve with your favorite roasted vegetable or mashed potatoes.
