High Protein Rice Krispie Treats
Gluten free, refined sugar free, totally cleaned up Rice Krispie treats! I used my homemade marshmallows here, which can be made with honey, OR organic cane sugar, OR sugar substitute to keep them sugar free! I have a protein marshmallow or an optional classic vanilla marshmallow. You're welcome to use your favorite brand of marshmallows too
Ingredients
- 4 cups4 cups4 cups Brown Rice Crisps
- 10 oz10 oz10 oz Protein Marshmallows! (click for recipe)
- 4 Tbsp4 Tbsp4 Tbsp Butter, Unsalted, Or vegan butter or coconut oil

- .33 cup.33 cup.33 cup Vanilla Protein Powder

- 2 Tbsp2 Tbsp2 Tbsp Almond Milk
- 1 tsp1 tsp1 tsp Pure Vanilla Extract

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
- Whisk miss and protein powder together until smooth. Set aside
- Melt butter over stove top on low- med heat
- Add marshmallows and stir until melted
- Add in vanilla extract and then protein mixture until combined
- Pour into a large bowl with rice krisps and coat well
- Press lightly into an 8x8 lined pan with parchment paper
- Let rest for an hour then slice and enjoy!

I made this recipe and my rice crispies were really gooey. Did I perhaps do something wrong?
