You got invited to the cookout?! Even though these wings from US Wellness Meats are cooked in the oven, they still contain a crispy and slightly smokey grilled taste. Utilizing the original bbq sauce from True Made Foods kicked up a notch with sriracha and honey.

Process

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
  1. * Thaw chicken wings in the fridge for 48-72 hours*
  2. In a large bowl add your wings, water, 1 tsp of acv and one lemon. Rinse your wings thoroughly ( I did this 3 times).
  3. Lay your wings on a tray and pat dry with paper towels
  4. Add your wings back in a large bowl and drizzle with olive oil and all the seasonings listed above. Before mixing make sure you add your mustard binder. While wearing a food grade glove rub your wings and seasonings together to thoroughly coat every part of the wing
  5. Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit
  6. Grab a baking tray and lay out all your wings, top side up
  7. Place wings in the oven for 20 minutes, you will start to hear/smell the olive oil popping
  8. On the stove top place a large skillet and add your butter, barbecue sauce, sriracha chili sauce, honey and red pepper flakes (taste and add more sriracha and/or red pepper flakes as desired)
  9. Heat on medium heat for 5-10 minutes
  10. After your wings have been in the oven for 20 minutes use tongs to flip them over
  11. Bake the wings for another 10 minutes
  12. Flip your wings again and baste the wings with the barbecue sauce with a brush
  13. Turn off the oven but allow the wings to stay in for another 5 minutes
  14. Take your wings out and baste again with the barbecue sauce
  15. Enjoy!

Notes

You can taste your spicy bbq sauce and add more sriracha and red pepper flakes as desired. If you don't like a char grilled look to your wings, drop the temperature to 375 degrees Fahrenheit versus 400 degrees Fahrenheit and allow for a longer cook time.
