BBQ Tofu Skewers
No outdoor grill? No problem! You can make these bbq tofu skewers on an indoor grill, or even using a skillet grill. They are so simple yet so flavourful, and the perfect thing to enjoy for a backyard bbq!
Ingredients
For the skewers
- 2 whole2 whole2 whole Tofu, 2 blocks, extra firm, cut into large cubes
- 2 whole2 whole2 whole Red Bell Pepper, cut into squares
- 2 whole2 whole2 whole Zucchini, cut into round slices
- 1 whole1 whole1 whole Red Onion, cut into squares
For the tofu marinade
- 0.25 cup0.25 cup0.25 cup Pitmaster Original (Kansas City-Style) BBQ Sauce - True Made Foods

- 2 Tbsp2 Tbsp2 Tbsp Water
- 3 Tbsp3 Tbsp3 Tbsp Soy Sauce

- 1 tsp1 tsp1 tsp Coconut Sugar with Monk Fruit - Lakanto

- 1 pinch1 pinch1 pinch Salt and Pepper, to taste
For the dipping sauce
- 6 Tbsp6 Tbsp6 Tbsp Avocado Oil Mayonnaise
- 3 Tbsp3 Tbsp3 Tbsp Pitmaster Original (Kansas City-Style) BBQ Sauce - True Made Foods

- 1 tsp1 tsp1 tsp Paprika

- 0.5 tsp0.5 tsp0.5 tsp Apple Cider Vinegar

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
- Preheat your indoor/outdoor grill.
- Cut your two blocks of tofu into large cubes, and let soak in the marinade for around 10-20 minutes while you chop all your veggies.
- Slide a cube of tofu, pepper, zucchini, and onion onto your metal skewer and repeat until you reach the end of the skewer. Brush any remaining tofu marinade over the entire skewers to coat your vegetables. Repeat for the remaining skewers.
- Brush some oil on your indoor grill and let the skewers cook for about 5 minutes on each side, on medium-high heat, or until you can see grill marks on the tofu and veggies.
- Once cooked, serve with the dipping sauce and enjoy!
Notes
How to store: remove veggies and tofu off the skewers and store in an airtight container for 5-6 days. Store the dipping sauce in a separate container.
