Biscuits
- Preheat your oven to 425u00b0F (220u00b0C). Grease a baking sheet or line it with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, Bisquick baking mix, baking powder, salt and pepper.
- Add the cold cubed butter to the bowl and use a pastry cutter (optional) or your fingers to cut the butter into the dry ingredients until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese, minced garlic, garlic powder, and dried parsley flakes.
- Gradually pour in the milk, stirring gently, until the dough comes together. Be careful not to overmix.
- Transfer the dough onto a lightly floured surface. Knead it gently a few times to ensure all the ingredients are incorporated.
- Roll out the dough to a thickness of about 1/2 inch. Use a biscuit cutter or a round cookie cutter to cut out biscuits from the dough. Place them on the prepared baking sheet, leaving some space between each biscuit.
- Bake the biscuits in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes, or until they are golden brown and cooked through.
- Once baked, remove the biscuits from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes
Garlic butter topping
- In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, and a pinch of salt.
- Mix well until all the ingredients are thoroughly combined and evenly distributed.
- Taste and adjust the seasoning if desired. You can add more garlic or parsley according to your preference.
- Once the cheddar garlic biscuits are baked and still warm, spread the garlic parsley butter mixture generously on the tops of the biscuits.
- Serve the biscuits while warm.
