Keto Beef and Broccoli(ni) Stir Fry (Edit recipe)

This classic Chinese-American recipe is so easy to make! Follow the steps to velvet your beef, and this keto version might just become your family’s favourite! The brown sauce is flavourful and the broccolini should be tender and crisp. Serve it with cauliflower rice or keto friendly “rice”. Here’s another idea: Why not serve it with my keto egg noodle recipe?! Just prepare the noodles as per instruction and toss it in the wok! Make it keto beef & broccolini noodles!

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
  1. Thinly slice the beef against the grain. Velvet the beef as per my velveted beef recipe.
  2. Mix the ingredients for the sauce in a compact blender: tamari, shaoxing wine, keto oyster sauce, allulose, sesame oil, chicken broth, water, freshly ground black peppercorns, sea salt, sodium alginate, and mushroom seasoning if using. Blend and set aside.
  3. Blanch the broccolini in hot water with some avocado oil, drain and set aside.
  4. Preheat a wok to medium-high heat. Add in the avocado oil, minced garlic and minced ginger (or sliced ginger).
  5. Sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant then add in the beef. Continue to sauté for another 3-4 minutes until slightly brown.
  6. Add in the sauce and continue to sauté. Add in the broccolini and sauté for 1 minute, mixing all the ingredients together. Sprinkle on the sesame seeds, if desired.
