protein pop-tart bites
arguably the two worst pop-tart flavors… but these homemade bites might’ve changed my mind. 🍓🍪✨
pop-tarts raised me. lol. they were my go-to snack hopping off the bus, but let’s be honest… they were loaded with sugar & didn’t offer much in the way of protein or fiber. 😅
so i gave them a little protein-packed, no-sugar, gluten-free, fiber-boosted glow-up & turned them into bite-sized treats!
i made TWO versions:
🍫 brown sugar cinnamon — a chocolate cinnamon sugar protein filling tucked inside a cinnamon toast protein cereal crust, then finished with a protein glaze.
🍓 mixed berry — filled with a sweet + tangy mixed berry compote, then topped with a strawberry protein glaze + rainbow sprinkles.
same nostalgic pop-tart vibes, but with more protein + fiber & ingredients you can feel good about. 🤌
perfect for an after-school snack, afternoon sweet treat, or whenever the pop-tart craving hits.
