Paleo Meatballs and Marinara
Easy and delicious paleo meatballs, smothered in our bone broth marinara sauce. They're packed with protein, nutrients, and they're bursting with flavor! These are a must for a quick weeknight meal or to meal prep for the week.
Ingredients
Meatballs
- 1 lb1 lb1 lb Ground Beef, (grass-fed)
- 1 lb1 lb1 lb Ground Pork, or pork sausage
- 111 Egg
- 1/41/41/4 Onion, finely diced
- 1/2 tsp1/2 tsp1/2 tsp Garlic
- 1 1/2 Tbsp1 1/2 Tbsp1 1/2 Tbsp Arrowroot Flour
- 4 Tbsp4 Tbsp4 Tbsp Beef Bone Broth, (Bonafide Provisions Beef Bone Broth)
- 1 tsp1 tsp1 tsp dried Rosemary, or fresh
- 1 tsp1 tsp1 tsp dried Oregano, or fresh
- 1 tsp1 tsp1 tsp dried Basil, or fresh
- 1 tsp1 tsp1 tsp dried Thyme, or fresh
- 2 tsp2 tsp2 tsp Sea Salt, (Celtic Sea Salt) to taste
- 1 1/2 tsp1 1/2 tsp1 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
Marinara Sauce
- 24 oz24 oz24 oz Crushed Tomatoes, strained
- 1/4 cup1/4 cup1/4 cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 1/4 cup1/4 cup1/4 cup Onion, finely diced
- 1/4 cup1/4 cup1/4 cup Garlic, finely chopped
- 1/3 cup1/3 cup1/3 cup Chicken Bone Broth, (Bonafide Provisions Organic Chicken Broth)
- 1 tsp1 tsp1 tsp dried Basil
- Garlic, to taste (dried)
- Sea Salt, (Celtic Sea Salt) to taste
- Black Pepper, to taste
- dried Oregano, to taste
- 3 sprig3 sprig3 sprig fresh Basil, minced

Meatballs
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Spray baking sheet with avocado oil and set aside.
- In large mixing bowl, combine all ingredients and mix until well combined. Roll into balls and place on greased baking sheet. Bake for 18 minutes, or until fully cooked. Broil for 2 min to get them extra crispy.
Marinara Sauce
- Sautee onion, fresh garlic, dry basil and dry oregano in olive oil on high heat until translucent and the garlic starts to brown on the edges.
- Pour in chicken broth and simmer until liquid is reduced by half. Add the tomatoes, salt, pepper additional garlic and simmer over low heat with the lid partially covered to allow steam to escape for approximately 15 minutes stirring occasionally.
- Add fresh basil during the final minutes of cooking.
- Serve and enjoy!
