bbq chicken flatbread
IMO, bbq chicken pizza is the best pizza. 🍕🔥✨so i made a personal pan version by creating mini "flatbreads" using good dee's multi-purpose bread, then piling them high with all my favorite toppings.
the best part? you can completely customize the fruit, hot sauce, toppings, protein, & cheese based on whatever sounds good. that’s the beauty of a flatbread night!
Ingredients
- Multi-Purpose Keto Bread Mix - Good Dee's, see notes for a homemade flatbread using this bread mix
- oven-baked chicken thighs (click for recipe), diced
- oven-baked bacon (click for recipe), diced
- No-Sugar Hickory BBQ Sauce - Yo Mama's Foods

- Hot Sauce, I mixed my bbq with a peach habanero hot sauce
- Habanero Smoked Salt - Texas Salt Co., or smoked salt of choice
- sautéed frozen vegetables (click for recipe), I used peppers & onions
- Peaches, or fruit of choice
- Mozzarella, or pepper jack cheese
- Red Onion, see notes for a quick pickled red onion with beet kvass
- Beet Kvass - Garden Goddess

- Herbs, Fresh, I used cilantro, mint, & basil
- Red Pepper Flakes

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
- first, make my homemade GF flatbreads (following the instructions in the notes OR use store-bought GF flatbreads).
- increase oven temperature to 400.
- mix chicken (or turkey) & bacon with bbq sauce, optional hot sauce, & smoked salt.
- add bbq chicken mixture on top of flatbread, then layer on sautéed veggies, fruit, & cheese.
- bake flatbreads for ~10 minutes, with option to broil for 2-3 minutes.
- garnish with pickled onions, herbs, red pepper flakes, & anything else your heart desires!
Notes
- 1 red onion, finely sliced + 1/2 cup beet kvass + 1/2 cup water + 1/4 cup golden monk fruit
- Â in a bowl combine all ingredients & refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.
- 1 box good dee's mix + 1 egg + 1/2 cup greek yogurt + 1 T ACV
- preheat oven to 350.Â
- to a mixing bowl, whisk together greek yogurt, egg, ACV, & water.
- add bread mix to wet ingredients & create into a dough; add any additional water as needed.
- cut dough into ~10 balls, then flatten out into round little discs.
- bake for 15-18 minutes (flipping halfway through) or until golden brown on top.
